Argh! Vampires!

So, I've made another appointment to give blood this week.

In spite of them being terribly keen to get my blood (they keep ringing me to ask me for it), I seem to have managed to escape them for a year since I last gave them some, so it's probably time I should do it again.

Isn't this suppose to be easier once when you've done it before?

Why's it still absolutely terrifying?

Just whatever you do don't look pale afterwards or they won't give you a cup of tea even if it isn't your first time anymore *still sulking about that*

Presumeably it does get easier eventually but as I've only been twice it hasn't yet.

What about if I look pale even thinking about walking into the lorry-thing (yes - I'm that bad at this...)?

It's on my record now that they have to make me lie down for longer, after I fainted a few times previously...

It's the "there's a NEEDLE in my BLOOD VESSELS" factor for me – I don't know what it is for other people.

Because it hurts and blood is useful.

I think it will be easier after the first time. You will at least know what's going on this time.

I'm somehow not convinced. It doesn't seem any easier than last time.

Think of the accident victims who need blood, and the biscuits.
